The club was founded on August 31, 1943. Official debut in the top flight came August 20, 1944.
First Mexican team to win both Liga MX and Copa MX in the same year (“Campeonísimo”) in 1949.
Suffered relegation in 2002, returned to top‑flight in 2012, winning Apertura 2013 & Clausura 2014.
León achieved continental success by winning the CONCACAF Champions League in 2023.
Our academy was officially founded in 2024 in Pomona, Los Angeles County.
We are the Official Affiliated Academy of Club Leon in Los Angeles County. Our aim is to provide professional training at affordable prices to help develop talent. In the Spring, selected players will be invited to attend a tournament to play other affiliated teams. The tournament takes place in León, Guanajuato in front of the Scouting Department.
